Are you struggling with a horse that feels distracted, nervous, or hard to handle?
Or maybe you just want a solid foundation so every ride feels safe, connected, and enjoyable.
These workshops are designed to transform the way you and your horse work together.
Whether you join for one session or dive into the full-day experience.
These two workshops can be taken individually or combined into a full day experience. Either way, you’ll come away with the essential groundwork and riding skills to set you and your horse up for success... whatever your chosen discipline.
Foundation is all about clear communication and essential skills.
These are the basics every horse needs to feel safe, confident, and easy for anyone to handle.
On the ground, this includes:
Building your horse’s confidence and responsiveness in any situation
Leading politely and safely
Preparing for real-world handling like loading, vet visits, farrier work, and clipping
Under saddle, you’ll cover:
Calm and confident mounting
Basic yields to improve balance and suppleness
Developing connection and confidence in walk and trot
I’ll share my unique formula to help you quickly pinpoint what’s really going on with your horse, so you can understand their behaviour in the moment and respond with clarity.
You’ll discover simple, effective exercises that build trust and connection, giving your horse the confidence to focus on you no matter what’s happening around them.
The result? You’ll both feel calmer, safer, and more connected, so you can actually enjoy your riding in ANY situation.

Hi, I am Lyla and I believe that success with horses comes from understanding and connection.
I have been teaching across the UK, Europe and internationally for over 20 years.
I specialise in providing a unique blend of horsemanship principles alongside sensitively applied traditional ground and ridden techniques for riders of any discipline to achieve transformational results with their horses.
I believe that horses are happier and will respond better to training in any sphere when they understand your expectations and you understand theirs.
